Executive Director
Maylun VanWinkle
Maylun VanWinkle serves as the Executive Director of the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband moved to Breckenridge nearly three years ago with their two children so they could be closer to family and raise their kids in a tight-knit community.
Maylun is passionate about supporting local businesses and helping them grow and thrive. Coming from a small town herself, she understands the importance of shopping local and promoting the businesses that make a community strong. One of her favorite parts of her role is building relationships with local business owners and watching both new and long-standing businesses succeed.
She loves the spirit of Breckenridge and the way the community comes together—whether it’s supporting local events or helping neighbors in need. In her free time, Maylun enjoys spending time with her family and chasing her kids around, making the most of small-town life.

She especially enjoys helping plan and coordinate Chamber events and finds it rewarding to see them come together successfully. As a parent, it is even more meaningful for her to help create events that families—including her own children—can enjoy.
Mission Statement
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce is an organization of businesses and individuals that work to promote the area by developing a strong and vibrant economy through business advocacy and leadership, thus creating a better quality of life.
What is the Chamber of Commerce?
Your Chamber of Commerce is an organization of citizens who are investing their time and money in a community development program – working together to improve the economic, civic, and cultural fortitude of the region, community or area.
Any citizen who is interested in helping to develop the community is eligible to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The direct benefit is a stronger local economy; more businesses and more jobs with higher salaries and better fringe benefits. The indirect benefits are more public programs, better schools and less crime.
The work of the Chamber is financed by the investments of its members. The dues structure is designed to permit even the smallest business, or individual, to be a member.
The Chamber of Commerce is guided by a Board of Directors, chamber members who are business leaders in the area served.
Why should I be a member of my Chamber of Commerce?
- Because the Chamber of Commerce carries the reputation of being a leader of business integrity in my community, and my affiliation lends my business credibility.
- Because my Chamber of Commerce has a voice in the legislation that is passed at our state capitol. That legislation directly affects how I am able to conduct business in Texas. I want to have my influence over the legislation that my Chamber endorses.
- Because the Chamber of Commerce requires financial support in order to perform its job of increasing the economic prosperity in my area, which it serves.
- Because the Chamber of Commerce unifies the public spirit of my community and directs it into useful and constructive channels that are not limited to business.
